Software Engineer for Control and Regulation Software (m/f)
For decades, PCS has developed reliable power converters and electrical equipment for use in rail vehicles and high-dynamic industrial applications. Competences in the areas converter construction, control technology, interface design, and simulation, as well as project management are now deployed for use in the wind power industry.
Your main activities:
For the area of Development of converters for drive and energy supply systems, at the Berlin site we are looking for a Development engineer for control and regulation software for converters. Your main responsibility will be the conception, implementation and testing of control and regulation software for converters and systems for drive and energy supplies in rail vehicles, industrial drive systems and in the field of renewable energies.
- Cooperation in the specification of the systems or components to customer requirements
- Coordination of interfaces and requirements for the converter regulation software with the power electronics developers
- Preparation and coordination of the device interfaces with the superordinate control technology
- Design of regulation and control, including the simulation of the regulation in Matlab/Sumulink
- Design, implementation and test of the converter software
- Preparation of the accompanying development documentation, in particular the documentation for software quality assurance
- Conducting tests in the lab and at the client's site, support for type tests of the converter
- Start-up and training at the client's site
- Assistance in the preparation of training documentation
What we expect from you:
After completion of your university degree in electrical engineering with specialisation in drive and regulation technology, you have already gathered several years of professional experience in the development of software for the control and regulation of power electronics devices.
- Experience in designing and testing software for power electronics circuits
- Experience in the simulation with Matlab/Simulink
- Solid knowledge of English in writing and speaking
- Independent, goal-oriented and analytical work method, flexibility, great amount of commitment, skills in conflict management and capacity for teamwork, creativity and readiness to make decisions
- In addition, you are communicative and work well in a team
