PCS Power Converter Solutions has signed a supplier contract with Suzlon Wind Energy South Africa (Pty) Ltd. to supply Green Line 1000 reactive current converters for the Suzlon Cookhouse Project in the East Cape province of South Africa. Cookhouse is the largest wind energy project in South Africa. PCS is supplying 66 converters in total for the Suzlon S88 Wind Turbines to comply with feed-in regulations. The planned wind farm should generate a total output of 135 MW. more

Also in 2012 PCS will be an exhibitors at the largest European trade fair in the wind industry - the EWEA, which takes place in Copenhagen. PCS will present examples from the Green Line Family of full power converters as well as a Green Line 1000 reactive current converter solution on April 16-19, 2012 at the EWEA Annual Event in Copenhagen in Hall C3-C29 at Booth C 1-4. more02.09.2011
Equipment made by PCS Power Converter Solutions in Berlin enables wind turbine type e.n.o. 82 by e.n.o. energy to meet the German SDL bonus requirements. So far, 26 MW worth of wind turbines have been fitted with the Green Line 1000 reactive power converter. more

The PCS Green Line 1000 reactive current converter is undergoing tests at the NWIC National Wind Power Integration and Test Center operated by the China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI). Located in Zhangbei in mainland China, NWIC tests and certifies the grid compatibility of wind turbines under Chinese operating conditions. Even the harshest climatic conditions occasioned neither thermal nor any electric disturbances - proving the high reliability of PCS power converters. more

Having presented itself to the European market in spring 2011 at the EWEA in Brussels, and to the German public at Hannover Messe, PCS did not want to pass by the USA, with its well-developed WINDPOWER conference and exhibition. more

With its new incoming feeder cabinet, the Berlin-based company now showcases the functionally separated setup directly at the fairgrounds.
