A new generation of power equipment in modular design is launched, used e.g. for 500 quarter-length trains of the BR 481 type used in Berlin's commuter railway system
1997
Kick-off for the development of propulsion converters in the 650 kW power range with air or water cooling. By 1997, the company had delivered 60,000 electrical equipment sets for rail vehicles
1998
The Canadian Bombardier Group acquires Fahrzeugausrüstung Berlin GmbH as subsidiary of Deutsche Waggonbau AG
1999
Power converters for highly dynamic automotive test benches with synchronous motors are developed (today's PCS Blue Line)
1999
The 240 kVA propulsion converter undergo trial for maximum limit stress; preparing the long-term trial in mass transit
2000
The company provides the complete traction equipment for the low-floor tram in Rostock, including system ownership; it also delivers propulsion converters for the cargo tram at the VW plant in Dresden that includes electric uphill stops without the use of mechanical brakes
2001
Production begins for power converters for highly dynamic automotive test benches, choppers for the modernisation of Berlin's underground trains, auxiliary converters for commuter railway systems
2002
Propulsion converters are delivered for the Las Vegas monorail; a new drive concept is developed for the unmanned monorail system on the basis of the PCS power module
2003
The first power converter for a Formula 1 test bench is launched; relocation to the Hennigsdorf site
2005
Development of power converters for wind turbines (currently PCS Green Line); starting with Green Line 2000 as a FlexiSlip chopper for a 2.5 MW wind turbine with an asynchronous generator

The new generation of onboard power supply systems will be used in Europe, Asia and the U.S. for commuter railway systems as a modular concept
2007
100. Blue Line power converters are delivered to all major car makers on 4 continents; development of the Green Line 1000
2008
Bombardier Transportation (Power Converter Solutions) Germany GmbH is set up; power converters for transformer tests are launched; more than 1,700 double-deck coaches are equipped with PCS power supplies; delivery of 1000x Green Line 2000; delivery begins for Green Line 1000
2009
Power converters for testing cars with hybrid drives are launched; Presentation of the converter family Green Line at international trade fairs; End of 2009 acquisition by PCS Power Converter Solutions Verwaltungs AG
2010
Since the middle of January, new corporate form "PCS Power Converter Solutions GmbH" as medium-sized company with the familiar technological expertise in the areas of regenerative energies, industry and rail

September – complete move of PCS to a new location in Berlin-Reinickendorf
2011
PCS on a course to success: 2000th set of the auxiliary system equipment PCS Rail for double-decker cars and 200th PCS Blue Line converter delivered; Growth of the PCS team to 240 employees
